A representation of the diverse motif/designs from Pacific cultures, predominately Samoa, Niue, Fiji and Cook Islands. A unique art piece which reflects our heritage, mimicking the tapestries of the ‘Tapa’ and fine mats. The cloth is a story of how our cultures complement one another. Symmetry and repetitive geometric designs are synonymous to the traditional fine mats crafted by women of the Pacific, which is a prominent feature in this piece. The bright vibrant colours are a depiction of a multicultural presence which is felt from the people of the Pacific. Understanding the importance of where we come from and adding to our ever growing tapestry.
